Worked as a staffer most of the time for two daily news publications in South Mississippi, and was fairly successful as a fulltime correspondent with those dailies, as well as South Mississippi business journal and two weekly newspapers, one of the latter in Jackson, Miss.

USSVI Tullibee Base of Mississippi is a submarine veterans group. Meetings are held the fourth Saturday of each month, except November and December, at 11:00 a.m. at the Biloxi Yacht Club. All Submarine veterans and their spouses may attend. Herb Edmonds is treasurer.
