The Seabee Base in Gulfport was among locations that sustained damage when severe storms quickly passed through South Mississippi early this afternoon.
By 4 p.m. the two hours of strong winds, drenching downpours, lightning, and reported tornadoes had cleared. The sun broke through decreasing clouds and calmness belied the previous weather disturbance.
